2012's Worst Sports Deals

Shea Weber - Nashville Predators

The Predators put up a good fight for their disgruntled captain, giving him the moon in a 14-year, $110 million contract. However, the cards did not fall in Nashville's favor. As the NHL labor battle winds into the new year, Weber is guaranteed $13 million for the 2012-13 season and has the option to move on since his contract is devoid of a no-trade clause. It's rumored that Weber wants out of Nashville, which could mean the Preds paid $13 million to keep a guy who will likely leave as soon as the lockout is lifted. (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)
