Kevin Kolb/John Skelton-Ryan Lindley-Brian Hoyer 2012 summary:
The Cardinals had the NFL’s worst quarterbacking in 2012, with four different starters playing because of injuries and performance-based decisions by former head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Outlook:
Kolb would have to accept a significant pay cut to return this season. Even then, Kolb has shown nothing in two seasons with Arizona to indicate he’s a sure thing to succeed under new head coach Bruce Arians.
Even though it might be a reach considering the prospects available, the Cardinals would be justified to select a quarterback with the No. 7 overall pick. There also is the chance journeyman Drew Stanton could follow Arians from Indianapolis as a free agent. —Alex Marvez
