Tyreke Evans Moves to New Orleans

Evans lands with the Pelicans in a three-team sign-and-trade with Portland and Sacramento. Greivis Vasquez goes to the Kings and center Robin Lopez and guard Terrel Harris to the Trail Blazers. The Kings also get two second-round picks from Portland in the trade for the restricted free agent.

John’s Take: Tyreke Evans just wasn’t working out in Sacramento. This is a great chance for him to mesh with the young guys in New Orleans. The move ensures that the Pelicans have solid guard play for the foreseeable future.

The Kings are also winners in this one. Sacramento gets the opportunity to start fresh with Greivis Vasquez, who averaged almost 14 points a game last season. (AP Photo/Jeffrey Phelps)
