Jason Kidd Agrees to Coach Nets

Jason Kidd didn’t have to relocate after retiring as a member of the Knicks last season. The future Hall of Famer immediately took the head coaching job for the rival Nets.

John’s Take: I’m not thrilled about Kidd taking the Nets coaching job. This Brooklyn team has been built to win right now. Kidd will be learning on the fly. The question is will this team have what it takes to overcome any coaching mistakes down the stretch?

I would have preferred to see the Nets stick with P.J. Carlesimo for at least a year and bring Kidd on as a top assistant. (AP Photo/Bebeto Matthews)
