Fathers and sons have a unique bond. But in this case, a bail bondsman may have been needed. Mitchell, the 1989 National League MVP while with the San Francisco Giants, was arrested in 1999 after being accused of hitting his father during a dispute in San Diego. According to police, Kevin Mitchell was said to have slapped or punched Earl Mitchell, his father, while the elder Mitchell and his wife were being evicted from a house they rented from Kevin and his grandmother. These two need to go have a catch. Earlier this month, Mitchell was sentenced to probation and anger management for punching a golfer on a San Diego golf course in 2010. (AP Photo/Eric Risberg, File)
