The Philadelphia Flyers have missed the playoffs only once since the 1994-1995 season. The team has played in the Stanley Cup finals five times since 1980, but hasn’t won once. Nevertheless, the team had the third highest attendance in hockey last season, a year after losing the Cup to the Chicago Blackhawks. The team was tied with state rival Pittsburgh for the third-best record in the league last season.
