With a Super Bowl appearance on the line at Soldier Field, quarterback Jay Cutler left the game early in the second half with a 'knee injury.' The Bears were forced to go with third-string quarterback Caleb Hanie, who led Bears back within a touchdown. In the end, the Bears fell short of Super Bowl XLV. 6. Justine Henin In the 2006 Aussie Open, Amelie Mauresmo won her first Grand Slam singles title, by way of Henin retiring in the second set because of ‘stomach pain.’

5. Wilt Chamberl... In Game 7 of the 1969 NBA Finals, the Lakers center went to the bench after injuring his knee. But once his replacement — Mel Counts — began producing, Wilt wanted back in. However, Lakers coach Butch van Breda Kolf opted to sit Chamberlain in favor of Counts and the Lakers fell to the Celtics.

4. Scottie Pippe... In 1994, Pippen was so hurt that his number wasn't called with 1.8 seconds left and the score tied in a playoff game vs. the Knicks, he refused to get off the bench. Toni Kukoc buried the winner, cementing Pippen's place on this list.

3. Jim Everett Constantly under pressure in the 1990 NFC Championship Game against San Francisco, Everett was so rattled in the pocket that he fell to the ground in anticipation of being hit. The play became known as the 'Phantom Sack' and after that Everett seemed to always shy away from hits and never had the same confidence.

2. LeBron James King James was anything but in Game 5 of the 2010 Eastern Conference semifinals against the Celtics. With Boston up big in the second half, LeBron seemed disinterested, opting to play off the ball. After LeBron bolted for the Heat, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert infamously accused LBJ of quitting throughout that series.

1. Roberto Duran In a 1980 fight against Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran uttered two words he will never let down: ‘No mas.’ After being pummeled for eight rounds and behind on the three scorecards, Duran took a right uppercut from Leonard, turned to his corner and gave up.
