Winner: Green Ba... Wow. That's the last time I'll doubt Aaron Rodgers in a "must-win" game. The Packers' QB was brilliant, dicing up Houston's secondary for 338 yards and a career high six touchdown passes (3 to Jordy Nelson, two to James Jones, 1 to Tom Crabtree) in a lopsided 42-24 victory. Winner: Seattle ... There’s something special happening in Seattle this year. When Russell Wilson (16 of 27 for 293 yards, 3TDs and no INTs) gets the better of Tom Brady you know something special is happening. Wilson's fourth-quarter comeback was great TV, but the real story is the Seahawks' defense. They’re a fast, feisty, ball-hawking lot, and they’re growing tougher by the week. Just ask Wes Welker. Loser: Alex Smit... The 49ers outscored the Bills and Jets by a combined 79-3 the last two weeks. They managed just one field goal against the visiting Giants on Sunday. Alex Smith looked like the old Alex Smith, throwing three picks in a game that never felt close. Loser: Dan Baile... Blaming the kicker is the easiest out in the NFL, especially when he misses a game-winning kick, as Dan Bailey did in the Cowboys’ 31-29 loss at Baltimore. So let’s blame Dan Bailey, but not because he missed a potential game-winner with :06 to play. Let’s blame him because he missed after his team drove the field down 8 late, scored, failed on the two-point conversion, but then recovered the onside kick—which happens roughly 26 percent of the time. Winner: Shonn Gr... Before Sunday, Shonn Greene had only 217 total yards and 1 touchdown on 76 attempts this season. Against the Colts’ porus run defense, Greene broke out of his funk, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Jets to their first win since September 20. Loser: St. Louis... The Rams fell to the Dolphins 17-14 on Sunday despite outgaining them 462 yards to 192. That’s reverse physics, right? Miami receiver Davone Bess saw it this way: "We know how football is played," Bess said. "It's not about statistics; it's about winning. Pretty, ugly, it doesn't matter. It's just about winning."
