6. New Orleans Saints (9-3, Previous 4)
The Saints were shut down, confused and embarrassed in Seattle in a completely lopsided rout between the NFC’s top two teams. The Saints netted just 188 yards for the day, the fewest in the Drew Brees-Sean Payton era, as the offense failed to find any kind of traction against the Seahawks’ defense. No receiver had more than 42 yards, no rusher more than 22. It was an across-the-board collapse as the defense yielded 429 yards. New Orleans now has a short week to prepare for the Panthers in a game that will serve as a tie-breaker for the NFC South lead. (AP)
