A 2011 third-round draft choice, Van Dyke was thrown into the fire early when becoming a starter for four games just five weeks into the regular season. Van Dyke has a chance to keep the position full time with Oakland cutting Stanford Routt and Chris Johnson during the offseason. Van Dyke is expected to compete with Chimdi Chekwa and ex-49ers cornerback Shawntae Spencer to start opposite Ron Bartell, a former St. Louis starter also signed by Oakland this offseason. - Alex Marvez
