Meet the Horses of the 138th Kentucky Derby
This year’s Kentucky Derby, the opening race of the Triple Crown trilogy, will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. These horses will run on a dirt track 1.25 miles for a chance to be in the winner’s circle as well as increasing their odds of being named the first Triple Crown winner since 1978.
