No Handball Repe... Having won just their second silver medal in history during the 2008 games, Iceland's men's handball team was hoping for a repeat in London. They game close, but suffered an overtime loss to Hungary after missing an easy penalty shot in the final 12 seconds. To make matters worse, the jubilant Hungarian team rubbed in the win with a funny little dance. Watch the Game

No Solo Medals f... Jordyn Wieber was expected to be the star of the U.S. women's gymnastics team and a top medal earner. Instead, a disappointing finish sees her leaving London without any individual medals.

Pearson Steals G... Dawn Harper came to London defending a gold title for the U.S. in the women's 100-meter hurdles, but Australia's Sally Pearson provided an upset. Her 12.35 second finish set an Olympic record and edged Harper by a 200th of a second. America's Lolo Jones failed to medal with fourth-place finish. (Full Story)

Mustafina Upsets... Aliya Mustafina upset the favorites by taking the gold medal on the asymmetric bars in the gymnastics apparatus finals at the London Olympics on Monday after all-around champion Gabby Douglas fluffed her routine. (Full Story)

Badminton: Wang ... Top seed Wang Yihan deflated a nation of over a billion people when she thrashed India's strong title hope Saina Nehwal to set up an all-China final in the women's badminton singles on Friday, Aug. 3.

Nehwal's run to the semi-finals raised a tidal wave of expectation in her home country but she admitted to suffering an attack of nerves as she crumbled 21-13 21-13, despite the overwhelming support of the Wembley Arena crowd. (Full Story)

U.S. Hits Judo G... Kayla Harrison gave the U.S. its first-ever judo gold medal in Olympic history, taking the 78-kilogram title Thursday at the London Games.

Harrison defeated Britain's Gemma Gibbons in a final she dominated from the start, getting a stronger grip on Gibbons and managing to throw her twice.

Her medal is the U.S.' second in judo this week: Teammate Marti Malloy won a bronze in the women's 57-kilogram division. (Full Story)

Women's Soccer: ... Great Britain's players celebrate their surprise victory against Brazil following their preliminary round Group E group women's soccer match at Wembley Stadium. Great Britain won the match 1-0.

"The atmosphere was electric, we got off to a great start and had to concentrate to finish the job against a very good Brazil side," Britain's coach Hope Powell said after her team's third straight win put them top of Group E. (Full Story)

French Women Stu... The French women's basketball team produced a stunning overtime upset of three-time silver medalists Australia in a wildly entertaining game in the Olympic tournament.

The 74-70 victory for France marked the first Olympic defeat for Australia against a team other than the United States since 1996 and gave the winners a 2-0 record in preliminary play while dropping the losers to 1-1.

"It was a big, big victory because it was against a big team like Australia," French captain Celine Dumerc told reporters. "It was not a target for us at the beginning of the tournament but we played with desire and energy to get the win." (Full Story)
