Bolt Wins It for... Relay Team Sets World Record

Usain Bolt ran the anchor leg for Jamaica's gold medal winning 4x100-meter relay team. He received the baton even with U.S. anchor Ryan Bailey, but convincingly beat the American to the finish line. The Jamaicans finished the race in a world-record 36.84 seconds, while the United States finished second at 37.04. The Americans tied the previous world record, and still finished two-tenths of a second behind the Jamaicans.

Adding to His Le... Six Victories in Last Six Olympic Events

Usian Bolt went 3-for-3 in London, just as he did in Beijing in 2008. He had previously won London gold in the 100m in 9.63 seconds — the second-fastest time in history — and the 200m.

Bolt's performance can only add to the debate of who is the better Olympian is: Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps?

Phelps can claim 22 overall medals: 18 gold, two silver, two bronze. In London, Phelps participated in seven events and came away with four golds and two silvers. Bolt has Olympic sprinting covered, with the unprecedented accomplishment of winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relay in consecutive Games.

Barrett Takes Si... First U.S. Medal in Women's Event Since 1988

Brigetta Barrett used a personal-best clearance of 2.03m in the final to capture the silver medal. The 21-year-old University of Arizona student gave the U.S. its first Olympic medal in the women’s high jump since Louise Ritter's gold 24 years ago.

Boudia Ends U.S.... First American Men's Gold Since 1992

David Boudia won the 10-meter platform diving competition by 1.08 points over heavy favorite Qiu Bo of China. Boudia gave the U.S. its first diving gold since 2000, and first men's title since the late Mark Lenzi won the 3-meter springboard in 1992.

South Korea earned the bronze in soccer with a victory over Japan. (Watch Replay) However, the team may also be celebrating the fact that their Olympic medal means they are exempt from the 21-months of military duty that their fellow countrymen must serve before they are 29 years old.
