Legend in the Ma... Bolt Captures 200m Gold

Usain Bolt cruised to the 200 meter gold medal and became the only man with two Olympic 200m titles.

Bolt's victory gives him both the 100m and 200m in Beijing and London.

After the race on Thursday Bolt said, "I'm now a legend. I'm also the greatest athlete to live."

Bolt Leads Jamai... Fifth Career Olympic Gold Medal

Usian Bolt won the 200 meters in 19.32 seconds, making him the only man with two Olympic golds in that event. Bolt's time of 19.30 in the 200m final at Beijing still stands as the Olympic record.

Yohan Blake's came in second at 19.44, while Warren Weir completed the Jamaican sweep, taking bronze at 19.84. Wallace Spearmon of the U.S. came in fourth.

U.S. Gets Reveng... Takes Down Japan to Win Gold

Carli Lloyd scored twice and the United States beat Japan, 2-1, to win the gold medal (Watch Replay) for the third consecutive time. The victory avenges last summer's World Cup final loss to the Japanese and gave the U.S. its fourth Olympic title in five tries.

Taylor Ends U.S.... First American Medalist in 16 Years

Christian Taylor won gold in the triple jump after producing the longest jump in the world this year on his fourth attempt, 17.81 meters. American Will Claye took silver, marking the first time in 20 years the U.S. went 1-2 in the triple jump. In addition, after taking bronze in the long jump, Claye is the first man in 76 years to win medals in both horizontal jumps at the same Olympic Games.

Eaton Wins Olymp... Fellow American Hardee Takes Silver

Oregon native Ashton Eaton won the Olympic decathlon gold medal by 198 points. Eaton previously set the decathlon world record at the U.S. trials in June. Two-time world champion Trey Hardee settled for the silver.

U.S. Runner Brea... Mitchell Finishes 4x400 Relay Despite Broken Fibula

American Manteo Mitchell broke his leg with 200 meters left during his turn around the track in the 4x400 meter relay. Doctors determined he broke his left fibula, but Mitchell completed his turn and the U.S finished second in their heat. The Americans qualified for the final with a streak on the line. Not including the boycotted 1980 Games, the U.S. men have won the 4x400m event in every Olympics since 1976.

Oscar Pistorius and the South African 4x400 relay team will be eligible to run Friday after all. After his teammate was injured and fell to the track, Pistorius never received the baton after trying to get to his fallen teammate but was stopped by officials. After appeal, it was determined that the South Africans will be allowed to run in the final.
