Parched Texas city hopes to cut lake evaporation

FILE - In this July 25, 2014 file photo, Bud Gossett looks for artifacts near a turn-of-the-century washing machine, foreground, one of several visible signs of the town of Hasell, Texas, submerged under Lake Arrowhead for nearly 60 years and now visible due to a persistent drought. The North Texas city, trying to deal with its dwindling water supply, hopes that adding a biodegradable palm oil-and-lime-based product to the surface of a lake will cut the evaporation rate of the 6,000 acres lake which is the town's primary water supply.
