Remembering Princess Diana

The gun carriage bearing the coffin of the Princess Diana, draped in the Royal Standard, leaves London's Kensington Palace on route for the funeral service at London's, Westminster Abbey, Saturday September 6 1997. Following the funeral Princess Diana was buried at Althorp, 60 miles northwest of London at the Spencer stately home.

Fatal Accident On 31 August 1997, Diana was fatally injured in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris, which also caused the deaths of her then boyfriend, Dodi Al-Fayed and the acting security manager of the Hôtel Ritz Paris, Henri Paul, who was their chauffeur.
