Approach this house from the rear and you won't see anything but a mossy outcropping. A closer look, though, reveals a 2,200-square-foot glass-fronted home that looks over the Pacific Ocean. Designed by Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig Architects, the Washington state home was built into rock. Most of the living space is submerged beneath the earth. A wide-open terrace with sweeping views of water life including sea lions and killer whales.
