Still Searching for Jimmy Hoffa

Northwest Detroit

Bloomfield Township, Mich., Police Chief Jeffrey Werner, left, and Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca address the media during a news conference in Bloomfield Township on Monday, Feb. 14, 2005. Werner said blood found on the floor of a Detroit home was not that of Jimmy Hoffa, a conclusion they say rules out a lead in the disappearance of the Teamsters' leader. Police in Bloomfield Township ripped up the floorboards from the Detroit house where Teamsters official and one-time Hoffa ally Frank Sheeran said he shot Hoffa to death. Sheeran died in 2003 at age 83, and his claim was detailed in a book published months later. Fox News Channel claimed that its own investigation had turned up blood on the floor of the house. The floorboards were sent to the FBI's crime lab for analysis. (AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)
