Elvis Presto (1989)
The 1989 halftime show for Super Bowl XXIII featured what was, in Bob Costas' words, "the first ever network broadcast in 3-D." As if that weren’t silly enough, the production, titled “Be Bop Bamboozled in 3-D,” featured an Elvis Presley impersonator named Elvis Presto — who never actually performed any Elvis songs — pulling off what was billed as “the world's largest card trick” at what was supposed to be a ‘50s sock hop. The biggest fail? The card trick didn’t work. -XFINITY Music Staff
