Rodney Dangerfield

At the peak of his fame in 1983, bug-eyed comedian Rodney Dangerfield decided for reasons unknown to record a rap song called, appropriately, “Rappin’ Rodney,” on which he essentially took his most famous punchlines ("I don't get no respect!”) and forced them into a clunky rhyme scheme. The idea worked: The album of the same name debuted in the Billboard Top 40.- XFINITY Music Staff
