Montag has had more than one stab at music (and our ears) since making a name for herself on “The Hills.” Her first single, “Body Language,” premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show in 2007, but didn’t get widespread attention until a disastrous live performance at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant hit YouTube. She debuted a second single, “Higher,” in 2008, which was so poorly reviewed that it was dropped from her debut album. Despite boasting a minor dance hit in “More Is More” (penned by Lady Gaga), Montag’s album “Superficial” was widely ridiculed and sold a paltry 1,000 copies during its first week. —Jeff Royer
