Ol' Blue Eyes won people over with his singing in the 1940s, but decided he wanted to try his hand at acting too. He made his acting debut in 1943 in 'Higher and Higher.' The audiences loved him and his acting career took off. Sinatra appeared in a number of movies including 'The Man with the Golden Arm', 'The Manchurian Candidate' and many more. In 1953, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in 'From Here to Eternity.'—XFINITY Music Staff
