Miley CyrusThe former Disney starlet was caught on camera swearing at a group of fans in Costa Rica over the 2011 holidays. After pausing during her vacation to sign a few autographs, Cyrus attempted to board a helicopter, angering at least one fan who’d been waiting in line. RihannaRihanna got roughed up by a fan in May 2011 as she performed on the streets of New York for the kickoff of the “Today” show’s summer concert series. As the pop star launched into a rendition of “S&M,” a male fan reached out, caught her and yanked her up against a metal barricade. Keith RichardsWhen a fan rushed the stage during a 1981 Rolling Stones concert in Hampton, Virginia, guitarist Keith Richards did not take it well. After spotting the fan heading towards Mick Jagger, Richards coolly unstrapped his Telecaster and clocked the offending fan in the head. Justin BieberThe teen pop star was midway through a May 2011 performance in Sydney when six eggs were launched from the crowd onto the stage, narrowly missing Bieber and his pair of backup dancers. Strangely enough, the latter four eggs appear to have been dropped from above, indicating that Bieber’s stage crew may have been in on the act. The teen wonder returned to the stage shortly after the mess was cleaned up and resumed his show. GameRapper Game mixed it up with a fan at a December 2011 concert in Oslo, Norway. After an unidentified man chucked a vodka bottle at the stage, the startled rapper cut the music and challenged the fan to a fight. “Next time you throw something, I’m just gonna ask someone next to you who threw it, we gonna jump over there, and we gonna f*** you up,” Game yelled before hopping off the stage onto the floor. Avril LavigneThe Canadian pop princess was attacked onstage during a February 2011 tour stop in Brazil. Lavigne was perched atop a piano, getting ready to treat her fans to a “special song,” when a man suddenly appeared on the right side of the stage and rushed at the unsuspecting singer. After being grabbed by the assailant, Lavigne squealed into the microphone and scampered across the piano to safety. Security guards grabbed the mystery man, hauled him off the stage and more than likely taught him a lesson or two about attacking defenseless celebrities. Fortunately, Lavigne regained her composure relatively quickly and was able to laugh off the incident. “Just getting in the moment there! AkonThe R&B star chose an interesting form of retaliation against an unruly fan during a June 2007 concert in New York. The trouble began when an audience member hurled an object onstage, setting off the short tempered Senegalese star. Akon asked the crowd to point out the culprit. A member of his security team identified a 15-year-old boy and lifted him up onto the stage. Akon then proceeded to hoist the boy onto his shoulders and fling him into the crowd like a rag doll. Tim McGrawMcGraw, who is never shy about ejecting unruly fans from his concerts, got hands-on during a June 2008 tour stop in Washington state. After witnessing a fan roughing up a woman in the front row, the country star called security while reaching off the stage, grabbing onto the enormous man’s arm and shirt and hauling him onto the stage. The fan then charged McGraw, who was waiting with a clenched fist to finish what he started. Axl RoseDuring a 1991 concert in St. Louis, Axl Rose did what Axl Rose does best: freak out. What prompted the freakout was the sight of a camera – something he does not tolerate at Guns N’ Roses concerts. "Take that! Get that guy, and take that!” Rose yelled to security. After security took longer than Axl would have liked, he took matters into his own hands. “I'll take it!” he yelled, and hurled himself into the crowd to retrieve the camera himself. Rose was eventually hauled back onto the stage, where he hurled insults at the venue’s security crew before tossing his mic and fleeing the stage. The drama didn’t end there. Frank ZappaThe rocker was injured so badly during a fan attack at a 1971 concert in London that his bandmates initially thought he was dead. An audience member rushed the stage and knocked Zappa down onto the concrete-floored orchestra pit, causing multiple fractures, head trauma and injuries to his back, leg and neck. PitbullThe Miami rapper took exception to a fan at a 2009 concert in Colorado who insisted on repeatedly “making it rain,” or tossing money onto the stage. At Pitbull’s invite, the fan then climbed onto the stage, where he made the mistake of tossing yet another fistful of money into the rapper’s face. Prior to the band’s final songs, singer Oli Sykes headed into the crowd to confront a disrespectful fan. A fight broke out, and guitarist Jona Weinhofen came to Sykes’ aid.
