Katy Perry - ‘Part of Me’
Katy Perry’s new single “Part of Me” is just dripping with vitriol. Never one to do things halfway, Perry switched up the lyrics of the song during her performance at the 2012 Grammys to make what appeared to be a very public, very brutal statement about her recent divorce from Russell Brand, swapping out the line, "You can keep the dog/I never liked him anyway," for the less-than-subtle barb, "You can keep the diamond ring/it don't mean nothing anyway."
Sample Lyric: “You chewed me up and spit me out like I was poison in your mouth/ You took my life, you drank me down/ But that was then and this is now" —Jeff Royer
