Jennifer McFly: ...Claudia Wells played Marty McFly's girlfriend Jennifer Parker in "Back to the Future." Due to her mother falling ill, Wells could not return for the second film and was replaced by Elisabeth Shue in "Back to the Future: Part II." Bruce Banner/The...Edward Norton played Bruce Banner "The Incredible Hulk" and was ready to sign up for the much-anticipated movie called "The Avengers." Marvel Studios and Norton's people began negotiating until Marvel decided to go in a different direction. Instead they chose Mark Ruffalo to be the new Hulk. Why did Marvel not choose Norton? They released their reason in a statement made to Hit Fix: "We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in 'The Avengers.' Bruce Wayne/Batm...The "Batman" movie series began in 1989 with Michael Keaton playing the lead. He was asked to appear in the second film, but a falling out ensued and Val Kilmer snagged the lead role in "Batman Forever." There are several stories as to why Keaton didn't return. In the book "Batman: The Complete History" Keaton said he wasn't interested in the new direction the movie was going, director Joel Schumacher later said he fired Keaton, and in an interview Keaton said he wanted time to spend with his son.
Val Kilmer, in turn, did not come back for the third Batman movie called "Batman and Robin," but was replaced by George Clooney. Kilmer said he was offered the part but had already committed to another movie. Director Joel Schumacher said he didn't want to work with Kilmer and that is why he wasn't in the third movie.- Xfinity Entertainment Editors

James Rhodes: 'I...Marvel replaced a character in one of its franchises yet again. This time it was James Rhodes, also known as "Rhodey," in "Iron Man." Terrence Howard played the role in the first film, but Don Cheadle was chosen to play the role in "Iron Man 2." Howard said in an interview that he was shocked upon hearing that Cheadle had gotten the role. He was expecting to come back to the second movie, but Marvel thought otherwise. Marvel has never announced the reason for the replacement, but it is rumored that it was due to a disagreement over money. April O'Neil: 'T...Judith Hoag played the character of April O'Neil, the Channel 6 news reporter, in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Paige Turco played the role in the second and third TMNT films. Victoria: 'The T...In the first two installments of the "Twilight" series, Rachelle Lefevre played an evil vampire named Victoria. However, Summit Entertainment announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be playing the role in the third movie "Eclipse." Summit announced there was a scheduling conflict and Lefevre couldn't return.
