And the Winners ...As Labor Day weekend brings the summer of 2010 to a close, we reflect on the celebrities who had a great summer ... and the ones who just couldn't get things right.

WINNER: 12. Sele...This Disney pop tart officially became a woman this summer, turning 18 on July 22. The biggest win? The fact that she has aged (and been successful) with grace and class, unlike other former Disney stars you may know.

WINNER: 11. Jimm...He may not have the highest-rated show in late night, but his critically applauded hosting gig at the 2010 Emmy Awards (and the fact that he's just a funny dude) makes him a summer winner.

WINNER: 9. 'The ...They're middle-aged and, somehow, at the top of their game. Sylvester Stallone's action epic has led the box office for multiple weeks, breathing new life into the careers of Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Bruce Willis and 'The Governator,' who have all lacked a little luster as of late.
The quality of the film is debatable, but there is no denying its summer success.

WINNER: 8. Betty...Betty White began her pop culture resurgence on May 8, when she became the oldest host in "Saturday Night Live" history. She continued her reinvention by starring in the successful TV Land sitcom "Hot in Cleveland," which debuted in June, and debuting her own line of clothing (and a calendar!) in July.

WINNER: 7. Woody...They've got a friend in us. On August 27, "Toy Story 3" became the first animated film to ever pass the $1 billion mark, and only the seventh film to ever do so.

WINNER: 6. Jane ...Jane's stellar summer included a Best Supporting Actress Emmy win ("Glee"), the announcement she'll host "SNL" in October and her marriage to girlfriend Dr. Lara Embry on May 31. Don't stop believin', Jane!

WINNER: 5. The C...It was the only summer movie that left audiences saying, "Huh?" for all the right reasons. Leo DiCaprio continues to be a Hollywood heavyweight, Ellen Paige and Marion Cotillard proved they aren't one-hit wonders and Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt solidified their spots among cinema's hottest young stars.

WINNER: 4. Micha...He's the break-out star of the summer's most popular reality show, "Jersey Shore," and last week, he was officially named as one of the contestants for the next season of "Dancing with the Stars."
Between those abs and the $5 million he's expected to make this year, it's pretty clear that this summer had a situation.

WINNER: 3. John ...Five months after tragically losing their teenage son Jett, the Travoltas announced they were miraculously expecting another child. Preston, who is 47 years old, is expecting a boy.

WINNER: 2. Elin ...Cha-ching. That's the sound of a multi-million dollar divorce settlement. Tiger Woods' ex-wife has has taken her cheating ex to the cleaners, while his legendary golf career falls apart. If that's not a win, I don't know what is.

WINNER: 1. Sandr...After dumping her cheating husband Jesse James in March, Bullock announced her adoption of a baby boy in April and has happily moved on with her life and career, even kissing Scarlett Johansson at the MTV Movie Awards.

LOSER: 12. Nicol...Not only did Nic Cage's big summer movie, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," make less than $4 million in its opening weekend, but he's also been battling rumors he's bankrupt and owes millions in back taxes all summer long.

LOSER: 11. Paris...Paris Hilton was so close to escaping the summer unscathed, but on Aug. 28 — just three years after spending 21 days in jail — Paris was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine. Woops!

LOSER: 10. Jenni...Will it ever work for her? Not only are the tabloids still obsessed with her inability to keep a man, but she also drew criticism this summer from Bill O'Reilly for her opinions on single-parent families and criticism from others for her use of the word "retard."
Her big summer movie, "The Switch," also bombed at the box office, bringing in only $8 million in the opening weekend. To date, Aniston has been the star of only one hit film ever: "The Break-Up." This does not include "He's Just Not That Into You" (which was an ensemble cast), "Marley & Me" (which starred a dog) or "Bruce Almighty" (which starred Jim Carrey).

LOSER: 9. James ...After the re-release of his billion-dollar masterpiece "Avatar" brought in a disappointing $4 million last weekend, Cameron was quoted in Vanity Fair scolding "Piranha 3-D" for "cheapening" the 3-D genre, giving the public an insight into Cameron's titanic ego.

LOSER: 8. Wyclef...Wyclef's grand campaign to become President of Haiti came to a screeching halt just as soon as it began, when Wyclef — amidst a war of words with Sean Penn over Jean's motives — was told he didn't meet the country's Presidential criteria and was forced to withdraw from the race.

LOSER: 7. T.I.Rapper T.I. really had to work for this honor. After completing his lengthy prison term for a gun conviction on March 26, T.I. and his wife were busted on drug charges on Sept. 1. Only time will tell, but this is probably a violation of his three-year probation.

LOSER: 6. M. Nig...Not only did his $150 million epic "The Last Airbender" tank at the box office, bringing in only $40 million on an extended Fourth of July weekend, but his name is reportedly being booed across the country when it appears in the trailer for the film "Devil," which he wrote and produced.

LOSER: 5. Heidi ...After having her body altered beyond recognition in late 2009, Heidi announced in August she wants her massive implants reduced and fears her nose will fall off "like Michael Jackson's." If that weren't bad enough, Heidi and her equally attention-hungry hubby Spencer Pratt announced in July they are getting a divorce.
Also, Spencer is allegedly shopping an adult tape, featuring Heidi, himself and a Playboy playmate.

LOSER: 4. Jesse ...Before Mel's breakdown became tabloid fodder, Jesse James was public enemy #1 for allegedly cheating on actress Sandra Bullock and appearing in a photo giving a Nazi salute. Five months later, the divorce is final (as of June 28), Sandy has happily moved on and Jesse traded in an Oscar-winner for ... a tattoo artist.

LOSER: 3. Mel Gi...The summer of 2010 was pretty much a waste for Mel Gibson, who became public enemy #1 for allegedly abusing his Russian ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and leaving a series of racist, profane and sexually explicit messages on her voicemail.

LOSER: 2. Lindsa...Few celebs had a rougher summer than everybody's favorite ginger, Lindsay Lohan, who was sentenced to 90 days in jail — and an additional 90 in rehab — for violating her DUI probation. She only ended up serving 14 days in jail and 23 in rehab, but the irreparable damage to her career may have already been done.

LOSER: 1. Tiger ...After taking a 20-week break from the sport of golf to amend for cheating on his Swedish model wife Elin Nordegren with a bevy of women (allegedly including an adult film star and a Perkins waitress), Tiger returned to play The Masters in April, tying for fourth.
He then missed the cut at the Quail Hollow Championship, withdrew from The Players Championship due to injury, finished 19th at The Memorial Tournament, tied for fourth at the U.S. Open, finished 46th at the AT&T National tourney, tied for 23rd at The Open Championship and tied for 78th place on August eighth at the Bridgestone Invitational.
Oh, and rumor has it he's shelling out anywhere between $20 million and $100 million in a divorce settlement. Go, Tiger!
