Dee Rees

Dee Rees’ first experience was as a script supervisor intern for Spike Lee’s 2006 films “Inside Man” and “When the Levees Broke.” In 2007, Rees wrote her first script for the movie “Pariah.” She shortened the script and it played at over 40 different festivals, and won 25 short awards. Spike Lee agreed to produce the film, and in 2011 the movie was released. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
