Kirk Cameron, now 41, became a born-again Christian during his time on the show and reportedly asked that many story lines be tamed down in order to coincide with his religious beliefs. Following the end of “Growing Pains,” he wed actress Chelsea Noble (who appeared on the show as his love interest) and became more involved with training fellow Christians in evangelism.
He most recently appeared in the film “Fireproof,” which went on to become the highest-grossing independent film of 2008.
