Hollywood's Famous Recluses

2 of 18

Bill Murray

The famed "Ghostbusters" star is so reclusive, most of Hollywood's biggest stars and directors struggle to get in contact with him.

While trying to cast Murray in his movie "St. Vincent," director Ted Melfi was forced to call the actor's infamous 1-800 line to pitch his movie, because Bill does not have an agent, manager or, at that time, a cell phone. After weeks of calls and missed connections, Murray and Melfi finally met at an LAX baggage claim and drove for three hours before the actor agreed to do the film.

Murray is also reportedly secretive about where he lives, and splits his time between homes across the country. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff (Photo by Craig Barritt/Getty Images)
