Hollywood's Famous Recluses

Stanley Kubrick

Director Stanley Kubrick, the mastermind behind movies such as “A Clockwork Orange” and “The Shining,” went into complete seclusion after discovering that the IRA was targeting him for filming English soldiers on Irish soil for the 1970s film “Barry Lyndon.” Kubrick immediately relocated the film’s production to England, working on all future projects from his own London home.
