Jimmie Davis was called the "singing governor," because before he was elected governor of Louisiana in 1944 (and again in 1960), he was a world-famous crooner. His popular song "You are My Sunshine" was honored with a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1999. And during his campaign stops, Davis would break out into song, thus earning him his aforementioned title. He died in 2000 at the age of 101, living longer than any former state governor. - XFINITY Entertainment Staff (AP Photo/Jack Thornell)
