Vanessa L. Williams

In 1983, Vanessa Williams was the first African-American crowned as Miss America, and she later on earned numerous Grammy, Emmy, and Tony awards and nominations. Williams has released several albums since her successful debut in 1988, “The Right Stuff.” Her latest work has been acting in the hit drama series, “Desperate Housewives” as Renee Perry. —XFINITY Entertainment Staff
