Halle Berry’s first movie appearance was in “Jungle Fever,” but it was the 1992 romantic comedy film “Boomerang” that kick-started her acting career. The film was an immediate success and raked in an outstanding $131 million worldwide. Since then, Berry has been in several blockbusters such as “The Flintstones,” “X-Men,” “Die Another Day,” and most recently, “Cloud Atlas.” She has become one of the highest-paid and most respected actresses in Hollywood and in 2001, Berry became the first African-American woman to win an Academy Award for Best Actress.
