After making a splash last awards season with his "Dictator" character, Sacha Baron Cohen returned (as himself) to poke fun at his "Les Mis" castmates, including "Hugh Jackson." The jokes ended on a seemingly sour note, however, when Cohen made a crack about Anne Hathaway's recent wardrobe malfunction. The barb got no reaction from the audience and received only a smirk from Hathaway, who did not take the dress snafu lightly.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

10. Tina & Amy D...Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler came out of the gates strong with a hilarious monologue — particularly a crack about Kathryn Bigelow's marriage to James Cameron — but laid low for most of the show. It's a bonus when bad hosts stay behind the curtain, but it would have been fun to see more of NBC's funny gals.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

9. President Cli...President Bill Clinton shocked the Golden Globes audience when he appeared on stage to preview the Best Drama Picture nomination for "Lincoln." Clinton's visit received a standing ovation from the crowd.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

6. Cheadle 'Lies...Don Cheadle was in a stacked category for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Series, but the star topped Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory"), Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock") and Emmy darling Louis C.K. ("Louie") to take home the trophy for Showtime's sleeper hit "House of Lies."—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

5. Lawrence Gets...After besting Meryl Streep (among others) with her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook," Jennifer Lawrence happily cried, "I beat Meryl!" As Twitter quickly erupted over the apparent disrespect of Hollywood's Queen Mum, others were quick to point out that Lawrence was merely quoting a line from "The First Wives Club."—David Onda (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

4. Quentin Taran...Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" received its fair share of controversy for both its violence and its use of the N-word more than 100 times. Despite that, the eccentric director won a Golden Globe for his original screenplay — the same screenplay that uses the N-word more than 100 times. Nobody was more surprised than Tarantino.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

3. Foster's Unus...Jodie Foster's acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award was both touching and bizarre. The actress began her speech with a reference to a 15-year-old "SNL" sketch ("I'm 50!") and went on to make an aggressive statement about keeping her private life private. At the same time, Foster also used the occasion to sort of come out ("I did my coming out about 1,000 years ago.") and sort of retire from acting. All in all, she left more questions than answers.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)

2. The New Queen..."Girls" star and creator Lena Dunham bested both Amy Poehler and Tina Fey to take home the trophy for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Series. To boot, the HBO show took home the prize for Best Comedy Series as well.—David Onda (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images)

1. Affleck, 'Arg...Just days after being snubbed by the Academy Awards nominations, Ben Affleck took home the Golden Globe for Best Director for "Argo." And although Jessica Chastain won for her performance in "Zero Dark Thirty" and Daniel-Day Lewis won for his performance in "Lincoln," it was "Argo" that took home the prize for Best Drama Film. In a show of respect (or sympathy for his Oscar snub), the audience at the Beverly Hilton gave Affleck a standing ovation for his victory.—David Onda (Photo by Paul Drinkwater/NBCUniversal via Getty Images)
