How to use myDVR Manager

This handy how-to guide shows you how to:

Schedule a Recording

In the TV Listings grid, select a show that you want to record. In the program details area, select Record Program (movie or sporting event), Record Episode (single episode of a series) or Record Series.

Review your Scheduled Recordings

In TV Listings, click the myDVR Manager link (upper right) to view your scheduled recordings. You'll see them arranged by date/time.

Modify a Scheduled Recording

In TV Listings, click the myDVR Manager link (upper right) to open the application.

  1. To modify a recording: Select a show in your Scheduled Recordings and click Modify Settings on the right. Adjust your settings and click Save Settings when finished.
  2. To cancel a recording: Select a show and click Cancel Episode on the right.

Modify a Series Recording

In TV Listings, click the myDVR Manager link (upper right) and select the Series Priority Manager tab.

  1. To change series priority: Select a series recording and click the up/down arrows to raise/lower priority. Click Update Priority when finished.
  2. To modify series settings: Select a scheduled series and click Modify Settings on the right. Adjust your settings and click Save Settings when finished.
  3. To cancel a series: Select a scheduled series and click Cancel Series on the right.

Manage your DVRs

For users with multiple DVRs

In TV Listings, click the myDVR Manager link (upper right) and select the DVR Selector tab.

  1. To identify your DVRs: Use the list of recordings (specific to each DVR) on the right.
  2. To name your DVRs: Type a name for your DVR in the text field and click Save. Names can contain up to 25 characters.
  3. To set your default DVR: Select the DVR you want to make your default and click Save.

Determine if you have the correct Guide version

Comcast's On-Screen Program Guides are upgraded to newer versions on a rolling basis, market by market, and set-top box model by model.

If you see the "Search & Record" and "Manage My DVR" options when you press the My DVR button on your remote (or go to the Main DVR Menu), you have the correct Guide version to support myDVR Manager.
