Last night’s episode of “Modern Family” was the funniest of the season, filled with fantastic one-off jokes, visual puns, and lots and lots of funny hits of truth. But the funniest moment was a “Monkees” joke, airing the same day Davy Jones passed away.

The cast of “Modern Family” took home a SAG Award in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series on Sunday night, beating out a field that also saw the casts of “30 Rock,” “Glee,” “The Office” and others up for a trophy.
