On last night’s big post-Super Bowl season premiere of “The Voice”, Tony Lucca was the last to take the stage, and he sung a fantastically soulful rendition of “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne. He told Carson Daly that he wasn’t sure that judge Christina Aguilera was going to recognize him from their days when they were on “The Mickey Mouse Club” together.
“The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show,” NBC spokesman Christopher McCloskey said. “Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers.”
