Brian Williams’ “Rock Center” newsmagazine moves this week to its third time slot in less than six months. NBC insists the show is in no danger of cancellation despite low ratings.

“American Idol,” which stabilized last week after a period of declining ratings, stayed on an even keel Wednesday night and pushed Fox to an overall win for the night, according to preliminary numbers.

A repeat of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” drew the night’s top ratings Monday, but Fox took an overall win with the combination of “House” and the new J.J. Abrams drama “Alcatraz.”

Despite ABC’s “The Bachelor” dropping to a series low Monday night, a repeat-heavy roster from the competition still gave the network an overall ratings win, according to preliminary numbers.
