In tonight’s one-hour first season finale of “2 Broke Girls,” Max and Caroline engage in your typical garden variety stalking of Martha Stewart. The two, all dressed up for a fashion ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, are determined to get Martha’s stamp of approval on their cupcakes.

Last week seemed typical for CBS’ sitcoms on Monday night, television’s most popular, and raunchy, night of comedy.

When “2 Broke Girls” co-creator Michael Patrick King took the stage to talk to critics during the TCA press tour this morning, little did he know that he would face a ton of questions about the stereotypes and broad comedy he uses on the show.

Despite ABC’s “The Bachelor” dropping to a series low Monday night, a repeat-heavy roster from the competition still gave the network an overall ratings win, according to preliminary numbers.

CBS returned to new episodes Monday after a holiday lull and scored a decisive ratings win thanks largely to the continued strength of “Two and a Half Men” and “2 Broke Girls.” “The Bachelor” season premiere delivered lukewarm numbers for ABC, according to preliminary numbers.
