The 66th Annual Emmy Awards are finally here and we’ll get the answers to who won, who didn’t win and whether Seth Meyers can effectively host an awards show! (He’s buddies with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, who have killed it repeatedly hosting the Golden Globes so he has some good peeps to get advice from, right?)

In case you missed it, I broke down the LGBT-ness of the Emmys so be sure to check out all the LGBT actors/actresses nominated as well as straight actors who are nominated for LGBT-centric roles. There are a lot of them this year!

But the weekend before the Emmys is always a slew of receptions and parties honoring the nominees and here are a few looks at the various parties that shone a little brighter with all this star power!

On Saturday, the Television Academy Arts and Sciences held an Emmy Nominee Reception:

Beau Bridges' heartbreaking portrayal as a closeted man on 'Masters Of Sex" earned him a nomination Pictured here with his wife Wendy. (Getty)

Also Saturday, Entertainment Weekly held their annual pre-Emmy party at the Fig & Olive in West Hollywood.

The Showtime Party was held last night at the Sunset Towers in West Hollywood:

Variety’s Women In Film Emmy nominee Celebration was also this weekend:

Though not affiliated with the Emmys, the MTV Video Music Awards were also held this weekend and a few of our faves from the Emmy nominated “Orange Is The New Black” made their way to the MTV stage in Los Angeles.
