Jesse Tyler Ferguson digs into his family's past tonight. (Discovery)

Who Do You Think You Are?“: The TLC series tonight turns the genealogy spotlight on “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson. In the episode, it’s Ferguson’s great-grandfather who is tracked and, well, it seems that trouble followed him at every turn. As the journey goes on, Ferguson uncovers some family secrets and also finds proof of an Alaskan Klondike expedition in search of gold. (“Who Do You Think You Are?” airs Wednesdays at 9pm on TLC)

This past weekend, I ventured down to San Diego for the annual Comic Con International and, well, my head is still spinning in the best way. It’s a flurry of people – many of whom are dressed as Wonder Woman or Thor – and activities and, for me, work. What was once a comic book festival has blown up in the past decade as a place for TV and film to market their projects and get fans excited for what’s coming. You can check out the bulk of my red carpet interviews over at TVFanatic.com but my gal pal Trish Bendix, managing editor over at AfterEllen.com, offered up her lesbian take on Comic Con.

40 Under 40: Feeling uninspired? Then check out The Advocate’s annual list of 40 inspiring people who are under 40 years old. Tyler Oakley is among them and you’ll be wowed what this young man has accomplished with YouTube and spreading positive words of equality and loving yourself. Plus, he’s just downright fun!

Orphan Black:” Stars Tatiana Maslany and Jordan Gavaris were on hand for a panel to talk to fans about the show and the upcoming third season, which they’ll start filming this fall. The actors were told by a fan, Taylor, that the show helped in their coming out as well as Taylor’s mother watching the show and accepting her child’s sexuality. Maslany teared up and said, “That, I mean,” replied Maslany, with tears in her eyes. “That’s amazing. I mean, I have no words. That’s incredible.” Read more at HuffPost Gay Voices.

Stephen Amell’s Abs: If you’re a regular viewer of the CW series “Arrow,” you know Amell, who plays Oliver Queen/The Arrow, has a fantastic body but this past weekend during a DC Entertainment panel at Comic Con, the actor lifted his shirt and showed the hiatus between seasons 2 and 3 haven’t hurt his stellar bod one bit. (“Arrow” returns for season 3 on October 8th on the CW)

Colton Haynes is the new face of Diesel.

Colton Haynes: Haynes was also at Comic Con in support of “Arrow” and, unlike co-star Amell, he managed to keep his clothes on but it was good timing since it was just revealed recently that the actor is the new face for Diesel clothing. Check out the above ad for the popular clothing line. Sure Haynes is keeping on his clothes but we can only hope that will not last, right?

Ricky Martin:  We’ve loved the singer/actor for decades now and it’s clear in any interview (or his Instagram account) that this is a guy who loves his kids and loves being a dad. Martin loves it so much that he wrote an essay about how to be a better parent for a parenting website he founded, PiccoloUniverse.com. Martin says that to begin being a good parent you have to look within yourself and while he offers tips on child raising, it’s not the traditional suggestions but instead he encourages you to listen, “eliminate limiting beliefs” and actually take the time to learn from your kids. Hit The Floor:” The soapy VH1 drama set in the world of NBA cheerleading and the players, is having its second season finale on August 11th but good news came down this week that the series will be back for a 10-episode third season next year. According to a VH1 press release, “the series has pulled impressive ratings during the first two seasons, finishing as the number 1 new scripted series of the summer on cable among Adults 18-49 in its debut season and currently ranking as the number 1 ad-supported scripted drama on cable among women 18-49. Season 2 of “Hit the Floor” was a magnet for fans on social platforms, consistently ranking amongst the Top 10 most social shows on TV Monday nights on Twitter.” The series is created by out writer/producer James LeRosa.

In the upcoming season finale, seems we’ll finally find out who murdered Olivia and the L.A. Devils will make one final push to nab the title. And what about Jude (Brent Antonello) and Zero (Adam Senn)? From what I can tell, things are going to get juicier and more scandalous for the finale! (“Hit The Floor” airs Mondays at 9pm on VH1)
