One of the most highly anticipated remakes for 2015 cast a major role this week! Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramirez will take on the role of Bodhi, made famous by the late Patrick Swayze, in the 1991 film “Point Break.” Ramirez will play opposite “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” star Luke Bracey as Agent Johnny Utah, who looks comparable to a young Keanu Reeves who embodied the original character. Ramirez is replacing Gerard Butler who was originally cast in the role of the surfer/thief but dropped out in May due to a scheduling conflict.

We sat down with Ramirez who is currently promoting his latest project, “Deliver Us From Evil” yesterday and he couldn’t hold his excitement over what he calls, “the fulfillment of a teenage fantasy.”

“Point Break” is set to begin filming in late June and will take the stars to various international locales. Watch for more of our exclusive interview coming soon.
