Michael Willett as Shane in 'Faking It' (MTV)

The girls and the boys go off on different adventures in tonight’s all-new episode of “Faking It.

If you need some catching up, the new MTV series started out about two BFFs on the outside of popularity – Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk) – who realize if they pose as a lesbian couple their social stature soars but things get very, very complicated. For Karma, things get complicated when she falls for the hunkiest guy on campus, Liam (Gregg Sulkin). For Amy, she’s realizing she really is gay and is slowly figuring out how to deal with that and leans on out and proud Shane (Michael Willett). The series is created by out producer Carter Covington, who I recently profiled right here.

In tonight’s episode, Karma and Amy decide to have a girls-only weekend – which means mean queen/Amy’s future step sister Lauren (Bailey Buntain) is also around. Also, gay/straight best friends Shane and Liam hit a gay bar in hopes of each finding their own hot hook-up.

Willett gave me a preview of what we’ll see in tonight’s episode and if Shane is going to find a little romance sooner rather than later.

I get the impression Shane/Liam have gone out looking for hookups before. Is a gay bar a regular stop?

Michael Willett: Probably. Liam always finds willing straight girls at gay bars.

Wait…these guys are in high school. How do they get into a bar?

MJ: Fake ID’s (please see title of show)

Is a str8 guy a good wing man for a gay guy? Vice versa?

MJ: It’s always good to have a hot friend around in case you need to appear taken.

Shane and Liam both think they may have met the perfect guy/gal, respectively. Can you tease how things go?

MJ: Sometimes two people are just born perfect for each other. And sometimes those two people are related.

Would Shane ever fall for a str8 guy? Why or why not?

MJ: I’m sure Shane is attracted to being attractive. In other words, if someone isn’t into Shane, Shane’s not into them.

You’ve said Shane will get some lovin’ this season. Soon??

MJ: So soon you can taste it!

What are you hearing from people about the show now that several episodes have aired??

MJ: I’ve heard nothing but love. People are really connecting with it.

…..while you’ll have to tune in to find out exactly what happens with Shane and Liam at the gay bar, here’s a clip of where Liam’s heart really is…

“Faking It” airs Tuesdays at 10:30pm on MTV.
