I know this has nothing to do with what to watch on TV tonight, but I’m a little surprised at the news that the New Kids on the Block yearly cruise is being turned into a reality show. I realize Donny Wahlberg and his brother Mark Wahlberg are finding success with their show, “Wahlburgers,” which I love for the record, but fans drop a lot of dough to share a mini vacation with the boys from Beantown to have it ruined with cameras! Surely some will not be happy their privacy will be invaded and their adventures will be aired on TV Guide Network but that must be the reason there was a casting process.
Eight episodes of the series entitled, “Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block” will feature die hard Blockheads as they take the “vacation of a lifetime” during a week-long cruise.
Ok now let’s focus on what to watch tonight.
I don’t think I show reality shows enough love on here. Granted, I’m not a huge fan but I do love checking in on one of my favorite celebrity couples Bill and Giuliana Rancic. At 8pm, E! is airing an all new episode of “Giuliana and Bill” entitled, “The Italian Job.” Giuliana deals with nerves over her parents wanting to see her speak at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C.; at the same time, Bill plans to do something special for a young cancer survivor.
On “Supernatural” at 9pm on the CW, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) look into monster families that are running Chicago’s underbelly, including a clan of shape-shifters and a group of werewolves. Meanwhile, they meet someone who holds a personal grudge against the creatures.
Speaking of reality TV, if you’re into the train wreck type, make sure to tune in to “True Tori” on Lifetime at 10pm. The docu-series follows actress/author Tori Spelling and the trials and tribulations she is facing in her marriage to Dean McDermott after he was caught having an affair. I commend Tori for being brave enough to put her business out there, though I’m not sure the embarrassment of airing all her dirt will be worth it. She admits that she and McDermott “fell in love” while both were married to other people, so she can’t really be that surprised that he stepped out on her.
No marriage is perfect, but with both Spelling and McDermott serving as Executive Producers on this project, I have a feeling they will be winners no matter what.
Director Robert Rodriguez will visit “The Colbert Report” at 11pm on Comedy Central. If you’re watching his incredible new show, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” there’s a new episode on Rodriguez’s El Rey Network at 9pm.
Did you miss comedian Cristela Alonzo on “Conan” last night? Check out the video below:
