Channing Tatum

While the GLAAD Media Awards are happening this weekend, the flipside of those awards is the unpredictable MTV Movie Awards, which airs Sunday night with Conan O’ Brien hosting. While some of the notable LGBT nominees this year include  LGBT-ally Josh Hutcherson for Best Male Performance (“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto as Best Duo in “Dallas Buyers Club,” no other award show boasts such a colorful list of categories. There’s my personal favorite, the Best Shirtless Performance (no clue how you choose between Zac Efron, Sam Claflin and Chris Hemsworth) and there’s the always-popular Best Kiss which includes Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams’ smooch in “American Hustle“ as well as Ashley Benson, James Franco and Vanessa Hudgeons in Spring Breakersand Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts and Will Poulter in “We’re The Millers.” Also, sexy Mark Wahlberg will receive the Generation Award while hunky Channing Tatum is receiving the Trailblazer Award so there will be more than a little eye candy for everyone. Voting is open until Saturday so go here if you want to cast some of your own votes. (The MTV Movie Awards airs Sunday at 9/8c on MTV)

Those sassy Queens over at Bravo’s “Fashion Queens” talked up ‘man-gagement rings’ this past weekend and, of course, they got so many things right in what they had to say. Here’s a clip to see for yourself. (“Fashion Queens” airs Sundays at 11:30pm on Bravo)

Roger from 'American Dad' (Fox)

My buddies over at TheBacklot.com held their own version of March Madness with voting for the Gayest Cartoon Character. The winner has been unveiled as being Roger from Fox’s American Dad,” who beat out other contenders like “Family Guy’s” Stewie Griffin and “South Park’s” Big Gay Al. They even did the voting bracket style, which you can check out here.

We’ve heard mention of the husband of Gordon (Brad Garrett) on CBS’s freshman comedy “The Crazy Ones” but in this Thursday night’s episode we get to meet Timothy, played by Jonathan Del Arco, the out actor who also stars on TNT’s “Major Crimes.” In case  you missed it yesterday, I had a nice chat with Del Arco about the role as well as his life being an out actor long before other actors were stepping out of the closet. (“The Crazy Ones” airs Thursdays at 9:30pm on CBS)

One of my favorite sitcoms this season has been Fox’s army-based comedy “Enlisted and while it has some of the best laughs of any sitcom paired with an abundance of heart, the show is on the treacherous bubble between being renewed or cancelled. However, the cast and creative team are not taking this lightly and are courageously doing everything possible to keep the show alive including  live-tweeting reruns on Fox.com. That’s right, reruns. The series, which stars Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell and Parker Young as brothers on a military base, is currently off the air and awaiting an airdate for their final four episodes of its first season and, in order to keep interest high, the cast, including co-star Angelique Cabral, Creator Kevin Biegel and Exec Producer Mike Royce  will take to Twitter for the “Parade Duty” episode this Friday at 10pmET/7pmPT. And, if that’s not enough for you to do your part to save the show, you can vote for “Enlisted” on TV Guide’s poll to save our struggling shows. Trust me when I say that “Enlisted” deserves the love, attention and, yes, a life beyond a first season.

The multi-talented Neil Patrick Harris took a huge leap from his long-running role as womanizer Barney Stinson on CBS’s “How I Met Your Motherto Broadway where he’s starring in the revival of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” Here’s a preview to what’s one of the hottest tickets in New York City and don’t be surprised if instead of hosting The Tonys, Harris isn’t winning one.

And while it wasn’t the first daytime gay wedding (that honor goes to “All My Children” in 2009 when Bianca wed Reese), last week’s wedding of Will Horton (Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) on NBC’s “Days Of Our Lives was the first gay male wedding in daytime soap history. Here’s a clip from last week’s episode with the wedding along with scenes from some of the other soapy storylines that were brewing around it. (“Days Of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC)
