It’s hump day and if you are spending countless hours watching the Olympics and don’t quite want to stop, at 8pm you can watch “P&G: How to Raise an Olympian” on NBC. The show gives you a look at the support and challenges of mothers raising an Olympic athlete. Included are Nick Goepper and his mom Linda; figure skaters Meryl Davis and Charlie White with moms Cheryl and Jacqui; and skier Mikaela Shiffrin and her mom.
I’m going to switch things up and head over to USA Network at 9pm for an all new episode of “Psych.” Gus (Dule Hill) is determined to solve the murder of a man whose life was strangely similar to his own. Along the way, Gus hits it off with a beautiful Private Investigator named Emanuelle (Kali Hawk). Meanwhile, Shawn (James Roday) realizes he’s been mooching off of Gus, Henry (Corbin Bernsen) and Juliet (Maggie Lawson), so he tries desperately to make up for it.
It’s a pretty sad day for longtime Psych-O’s who were just told the series will not be back for another season. The final episode will air on March 26th and will be followed by the “Psych After Show,” a one-hour live show featuring a Q&A with the entire cast and show creator, Steve Franks.
I’ll be tuning back to NBC at 10pm to watch serious drama unfold on “Chicago PD.” Tonight, Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) are given a new patrol car, but are challenged with keeping it brand new. No matter what though, anything is better than the first squad car they were given that smelled awful!
Meanwhile, a run in with a psychotic woman leads the Intelligence Unit to discover a drug smuggling operation which has put several girl’s lives in peril. Voight’s (Jason Beghe) overprotective act with Lindsay (Sophia Bush) leads her right where he doesn’t want as she also helps to keep Justin (Josh Segarra) out of trouble.
One of my favorite comedic duos are Ellen Degeneres and Sofia Vergara. When those two get together, I know that some sort of silliness is going to go down. Yesterday, Sofia visited “The Ellen Degeneres Show” and the duo recorded a parody commercial for COVERGIRL’s new Bombshell mascara. I wish they would air that on TV for real! Check it out:
