UPDATED: TLC Will Document ‘Little Couple’ Star’s Cancer Battle

UPDATED: “Little Couple” star Jen Arnold’s cancer battle will be a part of future episodes of the TLC reality show, which features little people Arnold and her husband, Bill Klein, People magazine reported. “TLC has chronicled Bill and Jen’s lives since 2009 and at their request, we will be following them through this challenge,” a TLC spokesperson told the magazine. “Jen is a doctor and teacher and she saw this as an opportunity to educate and possibly help, through sharing her story.” Full story, below.

PREVIOUSLY: The star of one of TLC’s most popular shows, “The Little Couple,” is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer, she revealed in a statement to People magazine.

Jen Arnold, 39, a physician specializing in the care of infants, didn’t specify the type of cancer. But she said the treatment involves both surgery and chemotherapy. “I have recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and am currently undergoing treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy,” said the statement from Arnold, according to People.

“I am very fortunate as the prognosis is good,” Arnold said.

“While there is never a good time to get news like this, getting it just as we are building our new family is tough in many ways … But being surrounded by the love of my husband and our two beautiful children is actually in many ways giving me the strength to fight it even stronger.”

Arnold and husband Bill Klein, 39, recently adopted two children — son Will, 3, who they adopted in China, and daughter Zoey, 2, who they adopted in India.
