Rashida Jones told Jimmy Fallon that she has already filmed her final episode of “Parks and Recreation,” saying good-bye to the sitcom after a little more than five seasons.
Jones, 37, talked about her farewell to “Parks and Rec” Thursday night on a special Thanksgiving Day edition of NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
The “Fallon” show was one of at least three late-night shows that aired new episodes Thanksgiving Night; the others were “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (an annual tradition with Leno) and “Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS. Jimmy Kimmel, Arsenio Hall and Conan O’Brien took the night off (Conan’s been off all week).
“I filmed my last episode [of "Parks and Rec"] and it was probably one of the most emotional days of my life,” she told Fallon.
Then she made a pun on the word “rec,” telling him she was a total “parks and wreck”!
Jones also talked about the next phase of her career — designing and marketing jewelry. And while that’s not an acting gig, we assume she’ll use her celebrity status to appear on home-shopping channels — a potentially lucrative move for her.
