Kimmel Requests Video For Annual ‘Halloween Candy YouTube Challenge’

It has become one of our favorite comedy bits in the aftermath of Halloween: Jimmy Kimmel’s annual “YouTube Challenge” in which he invites parents to tell their kids they ate all of their Halloween candy while they were asleep, videotape the kids’ reactions (or tantrums, as many of them turn out to be), and post the video on YouTube for Kimmel’s producers to find them.

Thursday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” — which happened to be Halloween — Jimmy set his third annual “Halloween Candy YouTube Challenge” in motion when he invited viewers to participate. Watch Jimmy in the clip — above — give this year’s instructions (while also fully costumed as Snow White).

Or, just read what Jimmy said right here:

“Tell your kids you ate all their Halloween candy while they were asleep,” Kimmel said. “Really sell it too — leave wrappers around, maybe smear some chocolate on your face, put a jellybean up your nose … Be creative and then record your child’s reaction, upload the video to YouTube with the title ‘Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, I told my kids I ate all their Halloween candy.’ That way, we can find it and we’ll show our favorites on the show next week.”

We recommend you watch the clip anyway because it includes the most memorable piece of video from the two previous Halloween YouTube Challenges that have aired so far.

And visit us next week when we’ll have Kimmel’s newest “Halloween Challenge” the morning after it airs on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
