“Dancing with the Stars” standout Corbin Bleu has managed to keep his relationship with a mystery girlfriend private.
But after Monday night’s show, in which the former “High School Musical” star delivered a spellbinding Viennese waltz with a “Game of Thrones” theme, Corbin declared of the HBO series, “It was my girlfriend who turned me on to ‘Games of Thrones’.”
That’s all the hunky actor offered to reporters about the girlfriend he has kept under wraps. But he was happy to elaborate about his love of the fantasy drama.
“It’s my favorite show on television, by far,” he told xfinityTV after Monday night’s “DWTS.” He and dance partner Karina Smirnoff played “Game of Thrones” characters and received a score of 23 out of 30 for their dance.
“I actually got into it earlier this year. I was late on the ‘Game of Thrones’ train but that was kind of perfect for me, though, because it was in the middle of the third season when I got hooked on it so I went through a crazy ‘Game of Thrones’ binge of watching the first season, the second season, all the way caught up to the third season and now, I’m itching for the next one.
“I cannot wait!” Corbin said.
Karina explained of the show that has her celebrity partner in a frenzy, “We tried to do it justice in the ballroom dancing world. ‘Games of Thrones’ is not a small show. We had to stay true to the characters and I think we did a fantastic job. I’m proud of our performance.”
“Dancing with the Stars” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
